In Resonance Healing®, we work with a Map offering greater alignment that supports emotional healing, guidance, and empowerment.
When emotions are the True Priority, we may work with:
• discerning a feeling that is present and sensing where it lives in the body
• finding a Resonant tool to receive the intelligence or gift within the emotion and support movement or healing
• clearing emotions that are not truly ours
• installing positive emotions or qualities we would like to experience in a relationship, opportunity, transition, or after healing a challenge or trauma
Emotions also offer an empowering way to creatively engage and co-create with life- through choice. We can consciously choose a resonant emotional quality to be with for a specific purpose or throughout the day. To do this, generally, I ask “How do I want to feel today—or in a particular relationship, activity, conversation, or event?” The intention is to find the Priority emotion or quality to feel for my Deepest and Highest Good—for this relationship, activity, time, or place.” Sometimes the answer arrives immediately, other times I find it in a few meditative minutes.
For the past seven years, I’ve been practicing consciously choosing a “Priority” feeling or quality. Some of my personal go-to choices include:
Peace • Love • Grace • Clarity • Fulfillment • Appreciation • Enthusiasm
Recently, before several cross-country flights, the quality I received was: Kindness. At first, I assumed this would make me more attentive to opportunities to help others. I wasn’t expecting the help would first be offered toward me. People (including one elder woman) spontaneously helped lift my luggage overhead. There were smiles, warmth and what felt like more room in my middle seat. I also felt undisturbed by some turbulence—yy thinking remained present, without reverting to anticipating how long this would last, or if it would worsen.
Then back home, I surprisingly received to feel Kindness again, before a favorite high-energy dance class—even though this group is already a warm and welcoming community. I was enjoying the usual joy, fun and camaraderie. What was different was subtle and most noticeable during the more complex movement sequences. In the kindness vibration and resonance, I was able to both focus on the steps and sense the bigger space around me. There felt an interconnected spaciousness among us all— the dancers who caught on quickly as well as those occasionally following a step or 2 behind sometimes in opposite directions. It’s like even in different timing, we were entrained. Personally, I felt a spaciousness and expanded awareness of myself and others, and was simultaneously able to concentrate, learn and catch on to new move challenges. With choosing positive emotional resonance, I frequently enjoy enhanced and fulfilling experiences—a practice to creatively experience, engage and flow with each other and life.
Below are two small “Kindness walk” moments I videoed in 2019 at Arlington Park in Sarasota—something I wanted to remember because of the unexpected beauty and synchronicity of the experience.
